HobbyKing (HexTronic Limited) has terrible quality control. Sending products that have one or multiple faults. I purchased a Quanum Nova from them. After months of getting no answer, only to wait patiently for a reply in 24-48 hours, there was never any answer.
Deliberate delay tactics.
When I pressed the issue yet again (more than 20 times) in 4 weeks, they disabled my account. Accused me of fraud.
I lodge a Paypal dispute. They then acted all nice and said that would happily solve the issue, but first I needed to close the Paypal dispute.
This is a TRICK!!.
Do NOT close the dispute. Once you do they will continue to ignore you.
Luckily I knew this, and escalated it instead. Paypal agreed I was entitled to a full refund.
HobbyKing's next trick is give you either the wrong return address, or no one at the address can accept the returned item, or they accept it, and claim that it has either been used or damaged.
This is FRAUD.
Make sure what ever you do, you always use tracking information. use the address which Paypal gives you for the Seller. Do NOT use the one HobbyKing gives you, your package will disappear if you do.
Also make sure you take video of the product being repacked and sealed. They will try to claim missing parts, or damage otherwise.
This company only gets by on the number of customers who are seeking cheaper products. Many products have faults or are shipped with missing parts. Many experienced customers only buy from them because of the price or availability of some products. But none of them will have anything good to say about the company.
Don't be fooled by the fake profiles and accounts on the forums, setup by their outsourced and in-house staff. If they are praising this company, they are working for the company.
At first hobbyKing seem good with the RMA process, but the more you buy, the more RMA you have to submit because of the poor quality control. Once you submit a certain number, they did disable your account, accuse you of fraud. This company is one big fraud.
If you buy from them, expect to run into trouble eventually. Then you will only loose money. Even if Paypal gives you full refund. You will be out on shipping costs, time, effort, and be left with a lot less enthusiasm for the hobby.
Reviewer is in unhappy mood. The_Last_09 is quite happy with good for cheap small items and stated that there is a room for improvement of poor quality control and terrible customer service. Please immediately contact the author of this review to discuss "poor customer service, warranty issue, damaged or defective, not as described" of hobbyking shipping service and associated monetary loss in the amount of $150. Hobbyking needs to issue a full refund according to poster's claims.
